Microsart® @media Plates

Microorganisms in liquids are quantified by membrane filtration. The fundamental advantage of this method is that it allows accurate detection of bacteria, yeast and mold. Transferring the membrane filter to agar medium is a critical step that can be a source of secondary contamination, especially if tweezers are used during transmission. The Microsart® @media product line reduces the risk of secondary contamination because the transfer takes place without physical contact. Microsart® @media products fully meet the strictest quality assurance standards, providing consistent and reliable results as well as time savings. As a result of combined development, the @media active cover fits perfectly into the Microsart® @filter base for easy and reliable transfer of the membrane filter to the agar medium. In addition, a removable inner lid provides access to selected colonies after incubation for further analysis.
