Distilled alcoholic beverages can have different process steps, depending on the type of beverage. All distilled beverages start with a liquid formula of raw materials like fruit, sugar cane, cereals, grapes and even potatoes. The addition of yeast fed with sugar in the raw materials creates the desired alcohol together with CO², which ferments, after which the distillation is carried out by removing the alcohol.
