Paint Mixing Scales

Regardless of the amount of paint required, our innovative paint mixing scales with an intuitive user interface are the best choice for the most accurate results. Sartorius paint mixing scales are based on industry standards and come in an explosion-proof version. Color mixing terminals and accessories complement the scales, with a choice of different connection options, protections, etc.

In any case, it is recommended to regularly check your color mixing scale by calibration and if necessary, adjustment. Calibration and/or adjustment can only be performed as an internal checking procedure. If you use the paint mixing scale in an ISO-certified shop, you will need regular calibration, which we can perform for you in our accredited calibration laboratory.

Calibration must be performed as part of a regular (audit) test, after the expiration of a regular interval, after a certain number of weighings or whenever the external environmental conditions to which the scale is exposed change (temperature, barometric pressure, humidity). If a significant difference is detected between the reading and the calibration value stored on the scale, adjustment is required.

In most countries, it is a legal obligation to use a certified color mixing scale if the weight measured on it is directly used to calculate a price or your scale will be used in official business transactions. Within the European Economic Area, paint mixing scales are subject to mandatory legal certification if they are used for the following applications:

  1. Determination of mass in commercial activities
  2. Measurements used to calculate tax, duty, payment or similar charges
  3. Measurements used to create expert reports for court proceedings
  4. Use in the production of pre-packed products and for determining sales prices.

Sartorius provides paint-mixing scales that are already factory verified as measuring instruments for your specific application.
